About Us
Northwest RF Corp., a manufacturer of specialized RF plastics welding machines, also known as RF Sealing equipment; is happy to announce the completion of the latest generation of their new WELD PRO line. By standardizing our product line and integrating many features which would normally be considered options by our competitors, we have greatly reduced the cost of such a machine.
"RF (radio frequency) welding, is also known as dielectric sealing or HF (high frequency) welding, is the process of fusing materials together by applying radio frequency energy to the area to be joined. The resulting weld can be just as strong as the original materials. Our WELDPRO series of machines are designed for welding thermoplastics such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate),PU (polyurethane), PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol), polyolefins."
Our WELD PRO-2.0 solid-state RF welder has an infinitely adjustable power output (from 0 to 2.2 kW) that can be set in four independently adjusted stages for both power and duration. Since the machine is based on solid-state technology, there is no tube to replace; this reduces maintenance cost over the life of the machine dramatically. To make sure that our machine will perform at peak efficiency and precision throughout it's' life, it is controlled via an embedded high-speed processor.
In turn WELD PRO-12 was developed to address the need to provide our customers with a reliable welder with a usable output power of up to 12kW. This will fill the need of the medical and packaging industries major workhorse, with platen sizes of up to 20x32 it can handle the majority of these industries needs. Each WELD PRO-12 machine is controlled by a programmable PLC and all setups and functions can be accessed via the user-friendly touch screen LCD.
Our WELD PRO-12 machines will also suit the industrial/commercial/agricultural belting industry for there small to mid-sized belt varieties. Up till now the belting industry has had only one option for the bonding cleats onto belts was done by tedious and costly adhesives, since our development of specialized tooling and the capability of our machines, it will make adhesives a thing of the past. Currently in its final stages of development is our new workhorse, the WELD PRO-25 with an adjustable power output of up to 25kW this machine will provide the necessary range of power for the bonding of large cleats to a variety of large belts and allow certain packaging clientèle to fill their needs as well.
By recognizing the needs of each individual client and their specific application, we have an assortment of options fit any need. For example, in general the medical industry will require a dual cycle machine which allows for the sealing and tearing of both the tubes and perimeter of blood, IV, dialysis bags, etc. To increase productivity most clients will need single or dual tray shuttle tables; for larger volumes a need may arise for a four to six station rotary indexed table. We can also integrate our machines into a fully automated line. Each and every client is approached on a project by project basis. Since we standardize our dies, if they become damaged, we are in most cases able to recut them and thereby extend the life of the tooling and eliminate the expense of having to make new tooling.
Joint Venture Info:
Northwest Tool Co. Inc. of Bensenville, Illinois and Service-Szer of Warsaw, Poland have formed a commercial joint venture company to offer custom solutions for manufacturing and reverse engineering of mechanical parts, automation, RF welding machines and custom tooling. The parties have been successfully operating independently for many years and their products will continue to be manufactured by the partners in their existing plants to maintain the same quality brand names that customers have come to depend on.
"We are very excited" said Tom Dabkiewicz, general manager of Northwest Tool. "Now we can offer a broader line of products and services which combines both companies expertise in their respective fields. Close cooperation between partners creates an opportunity to develop new and more diverse products. Now we can offer complete solutions to industries requiring such technologies".
